If you want to find government racism look no further than the Biden administration which is right now segregating restaurant owners by race when it comes to prioritizing pandemic financial aid.
The administration is blocking white male restaurant owners from applying to a multi-billion dollar restaurant stimulus fund for three weeks, and those funds could run out by that time.
This is government-sanctioned racism. At the beginning of the week, we went back to the 1970s economically and now we’re back to the 1950s with Democrat racial segregation policies. Who needs white supremacists when you have the progressives making policies in the Biden administration?
A lawyer said this action may be unconstitutional since the preferences the Biden administration is employing aren’t correcting any losses created by government racial discrimination.
Instead, they’re offsetting losses from the coronavirus that hurt the industry as a whole, not just non-white restaurant owners. In other words, the administration is treating the “remedy” as necessary because of racial discrimination when race was not a factor, but by handling it that way, white restaurant owners are being racially discriminated against and that’s against the law.
So the same party that shut down restaurants in states throughout the pandemic are now discriminating against restaurant owners at the federal level because of their race in a time when Democrats are telling us that supposed systematic racism causes everything including humidity?
How does any of that make any sense? White restaurant owners are being insulted by Democrats on top of the injury they inflicted on them.
The $28.6 billion pandemic program called “The Restaurant Revitalization Fund” targets the restaurant industry because it was hit very hard by the lockdowns throughout the COVID pandemic.
The program was approved by Democrats this year in the $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill and applications started being accepted from restaurants on May 3 from around the country.
The problem is applications for funding from the program are extraordinarily high and so the money may dry up by the time the racist policy by the administration allows white restaurant owners to apply.
The Small Business Administration (SBA) said, in the beginning, it will only accept applications from restaurants that are at least 51 percent owned by “women, veterans, or socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.” Translation: no white men.
Women aren’t a minority in this country, so why are they included? Veterans I can understand because we owe them a debt for their service. Socially or economically disadvantaged is a subjective term that could mean almost anything in the days of making things up and stretching definitions of words and phrases with Olympian vigor.
Here’s what I mean. They define “socially disadvantaged individuals” as “those who have been subjected to racial or ethnic prejudice or cultural bias because of their identity.”
This program is subjecting white restaurant owners to racial prejudice and cultural bias when they didn’t discriminate against anyone when they ran their restaurants. There is no justification for punishing people because of the color of their skin.
The definition for “economically disadvantaged individuals,” is a subset of socially disadvantaged individuals “whose ability to compete in the free enterprise system has been impaired due to diminished capital and credit opportunities as compared to others in the same business area who are not socially disadvantaged.”
How have white restaurant owners whose businesses were shut down by the government throughout the COVID pandemic caused anyone an inability to compete? How are they responsible for diminished capital and credit opportunities?
This is racist garbage politics. The progressives believe that we can combat racism with more racism, and I could almost understand their twisted, sick logic if the people they are punishing were responsible for racism that harmed everyone but white males in the restaurant industry.
But the targets of their racist policies did nothing wrong. They were victimized by the pandemic the same as everyone else, but the Biden administration wants to virtue-signal to the Woke Supremacy leftists by racially discriminating against people who didn’t discriminate against anyone.
There has to be at least one honest member of Congress who will step up and point out that government-sanctioned racism is not how we should give relief to victims of the COVID pandemic.
