Last week, a manhunt began in Texas for an illegal alien accused of killing five of his neighbors. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made a statement on the tragedy, but left out a key detail – the suspect is an illegal immigrant who had been deported from the U.S. five times.
38-year-old Francisco Oropesa went on a rampage, shooting his neighbors after they asked him to stop shooting his gun because they had a baby inside that was trying to sleep. Jean-Pierre said that the incident was an example of “horrific act of gun violence in America,” and urged the public to heed all guidance from law enforcement officials and stay safe.
She also said that the President and the First Lady are praying for those killed in the attack and for their surviving loved ones.
However, Jean-Pierre failed to acknowledge the key fact that the suspect is an illegal alien and that there is no legal way that he could have obtained the firearm he used.
Moreover, she claimed that gun owners support restricting gun rights and that “Congress must act without delay,” ignoring the fact that Congress has no control over the illegal immigration crisis that has been driven up by the Biden administration.
This tragedy is not only heartbreaking, but it is also a stark reminder that the Biden administration’s open borders policy has had disastrous consequences. Immigration enforcement is the first line of defense against violent criminals and illegal aliens, and it is clear that the Biden administration’s refusal to enforce immigration laws has made our communities less safe.
The Biden administration has clearly failed at its first and most important job- Protecting US borders. Rather than work to fix the problem, Biden’s White House was given orders to use the horrific tragedy to push gun control. Sad.
KJP kicks off the briefing by discussing the shooting in Cleveland, Texas. Of course, there was no mention that the suspect was an illegal alien and wouldn't have been able to kill anyone if not for Biden's refusal to secure the border. pic.twitter.com/6e1uEbEsqf

It is time for the Biden administration to take responsibility for the consequences of their open borders policy and take action to secure our borders and keep violent criminals out of our country. We cannot allow tragedies like this one to continue to occur.
