CNN’s left-wing activist they call a news anchor Brian Stelter set a new low for ratings for the year again as viewers continue to ignore the most misnamed news program “Reliable Sources.” For 8 straight broadcasts, Stelter wasn’t able to generate one million viewers. The 2021 low point was this past Sunday where the show garnered only 763,000 viewers. And that’s probably airports and people who forgot to reprogram their DVRs.
Stelter spends a lot of time trashing Fox News with his unique bullschtein style that no one buys.
The “Reliable Sources” host is having a really difficult time getting viewers to watch his show in the post-Trump era. Instead of trying to trash Fox into good ratings for CNN Stelter should examine what happened to his audience numbers that are falling at an alarming rate. “MediaBuzz” which is Fox’s time slot competition to Reliable Sources slaughtered the George Costanza look-alike by a massive 52 percent!
For the week of May 17-23 during the prime time 8 pm to 11 pm slots, Fox averaged about 2.1 million viewers while MSNBC came in second with one and a half million viewers. The failing CNN network came in 7th place with only 829,000 and have now gone 17 weeks in a row losing to Fox News and MSNBC. And it couldn’t have happened to a nicer group of schmucks.
It’s funny that Stelter attacks Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” show the most as it finished the most-watched cable news program. Tucker is crushing it and yet Stelter loves to attack the show acting like he is the arbiter of what Carlson is doing wrong in news. It’s just laughable.
Fox News turned out to be the only basic cable news network to surpass the one million mark for total day viewers averaging 1.2 million. MSNBC again came in second with an average of around 842,000 with ESPN finishing third with an average of 764,000 viewers.
CNN was at the same level as HGTV, meaning as many people would rather watch a home improvement and real estate network than get their news from CNN.
The last time CNN had such a devastating week was September 2019 and has now come in behind Fox and MSNBC in total day numbers for 14 straight weeks.
Stelter’s “Reliable Sources” wasn’t the only sinking ship at the floundering network. “Don Lemon Tonight,” “CNN Newsroom,” “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” “Cuomo Prime Time,” “New Day,” “The Situation Room,” and “Erin Burnett OutFront” all plummeted to yearly lows in different categories.
Fredo Cuomo’s “Cuomo Prime Time” saw its worst week in general after the host Chris Cuomo started battling a number of embarrassing scandals that are so bad that liberals are pointing out his complete lack of journalistic ethics. As if he ever had any.
Fredo was outed by the left-wing Washington Post for engaging in strategy sessions earlier in the year to help his older brother Andrew Cuomo, the current governor of New York amid his numerous sexual harassment scandals.
The younger Cuomo was forced to come out and admit what he did was wrong, calling it a mistake and he offered an apology to his CNN colleagues for putting them into a “bad spot.”
“I put my colleagues here, who I believe are the best in the business, in a bad spot. I never intended for that, I would never intend for that, and I’m sorry for that,” the CNN host tweeted on social media. Oddly enough, that best in the business line isn’t reflected in the ratings.
“Fox & Friends,” which averaged 1.1 million viewers clobbered CNN’s “New Day” with the refurbished program averaging less than 500,000 viewers for 4 weeks in a row. In fact, they beat every CNN program for every time slot. YIKES!
