I thought you might get a tickle out of Donald Trump sharing the moment that he realized General Mark Milley was a “F*cking idiot”. I know I did.
Trump was referring to Milley’s recommendations on how to handle Afghanistan. The former president said he knew when Milley claimed that it could be easier to leave American munitions behind enemy lines because it was ‘cheaper’, that Milley was not playing with a full deck.
Trump called Gen. Mark Milley a “f***ing idiot” over his recommendations for handling Afghanistan.
“I’ll never forget Milley saying to me, ‘Sir, sir. It’s cheaper to leave the equipment than to bring it,’” Trump told the audience while adopting a mocking impersonation of Milley. “You think it’s cheaper to leave it there so they can have it than it is to fill it up with a half tank of gas and fly it into Pakistan or fly it back to our country?”
“‘Yes, sir, we think it’s cheaper, sir,’” Trump said, continuing to impersonate Milley before stating: “That’s when I realized he was a fucking idiot.”
Milley served as chief of staff of the Army from August 2015 to August 2019 before he was later appointed the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff by Trump in 2018. Trump decided to hold off on withdrawing from Afghanistan pending what was going on at that time with the Taliban.
Biden, likely under Milley’s advice, decided to move forward with the withdrawal even though the Taliban had seized control over much of the country.
The US now has American civilians and families of US service members trapped in the country which is under Taliban rule. That was just one of the many Biden-caused crises that cost him dearly at the polls.
Thanks to his mishandling of practically everything he touches, Democrats will surely lose the majority in the next midterms.
