The Daily Beast obtained an alarming 911 call made by an aide to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on New Year’s Day.

The call, obtained through a Freedom of Information (FOIA) request, disclosed that the aide requested an ambulance without lights or sirens to maintain discretion.

This 911 call highlights the fact that at least one of Secretary Austin’s aides was aware of his serious condition, while those in President Biden’s circle remained unaware.

It remains unclear which specific aide placed the emergency call.

Excerpt from The Daily Beast:

The aide to U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin who made a 911 call to request an ambulance for the top official early this month requested that the dispatchers work to be “subtle” when they arrived at his residence, according to an audio recording of the Jan. 1 911 call exclusively obtained by The Daily Beast.

“Can I ask—can the ambulance not show up with lights and sirens? Uhm, we’re trying to remain a little subtle,” the aide said, according to the recording, which The Daily Beast obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request in the state of Virginia.

The dispatcher responded that the ambulance could do that, noting that “usually when they turn into a residential neighborhood, they’ll turn them off.” She added that the ambulance is required by law to run the sirens and lights on main streets, such as Georgetown Pike and Leesburg Pike.

Earlier this month, the Pentagon made a shocking admission regarding Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

It was revealed that he had been hospitalized at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center due to complications from a surgery he underwent, which was initially described as elective.

However, it has now come to light that Austin had prostate cancer and deliberately kept this information hidden from the Biden White House.

On December 22, Austin underwent a procedure for his prostate cancer while under general anesthesia. Although he wasn’t under anesthesia when he received treatment in the ICU after January 1.

Secretary Austin, who is 70 years old, was secretly transported back to the hospital via ambulance on New Year’s Day due to complications arising from the surgery.

He spent over a week in the intensive care unit at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center while his deputy took over his responsibilities.

During this time, Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks had to assume Lloyd Austin’s duties.

Last Saturday, Lloyd Austin issued a statement regarding his undisclosed hospitalization and did not provide any explanation for why he did not inform Joe Biden or Congress about it.

Following a two-week stay in the hospital, Austin was discharged on Monday and will now continue to fulfill his duties remotely from home.
