During a speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, Cecile Richards, the former president of Planned Parenthood, declared that women are “unstoppable” when they have the ability to access abortion for their unborn babies.
“When women are free to make their own decisions about their lives and follow our dreams, we are unstoppable. But when Roe v. Wade was overturned, a generation of young people lost that freedom,” claimed Richards, who was president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America and of Planned Parenthood Action Fund from 2006 to 2018.
Richards then mourned the existence of a baby who was born to a 12-year-old rape survivor in Mississippi — a baby whom she appeared to suggest should have been aborted — while celebrating the birth of her own grandchild.
“Like Ashley, a 12-year-old rape survivor in Mississippi. Because of her state’s abortion ban, she started seventh grade with a newborn. That’s the Republican promise of state’s rights,” Richards said.
“Last year, I became a grandmother. And during my daughter’s pregnancy, nothing mattered more to me than her health. Politics should never stand in the way of anyone’s healthcare or prevent any family from experiencing the joy my grandson Teddy has brought to my life,” she continued, before calling for the election of Kamala Harris, who has refused to cite any abortion restrictions she supports.
In January, Richards disclosed that she is confronting brain cancer, yet she affirmed her determination to advocate for abortion rights even as she combats her illness.

It's nice that they got to live. How many millions didn't because of heartlessness and pro-abortion barbarism?

For a long time, Democrats and Planned Parenthood have maintained a close partnership, with the abortion organization’s political arm providing financial support to favored candidates, and Democratic lawmakers actively advocating for laws permitting abortion at all stages of pregnancy across the country.
Despite the enactment of abortion restrictions in various states, the number of abortions has actually risen since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
Planned Parenthood affiliates across the United States are currently striving to introduce measures in nearly a dozen states that would establish the right to abortion at any stage of pregnancy in state constitutions.
Democrats are anticipating that these measures will increase voter turnout and influence election outcomes in their favor.
In addition, Planned Parenthood Great Rivers has projected that it will conduct 25 free abortions outside of the Democratic National Convention this week through its mobile “health” clinic.
