Joe Biden and Xi Jinping met in California on Wednesday for the first time in a year.
During this meeting, Biden’s microphone was unexpectedly cut off following his quip about the press to China’s President.
Xi Jinping was welcomed in a celebratory manner in San Francisco on Wednesday.
California Democrats worked diligently to ensure that the streets of San Francisco were clean prior to Xi’s arrival.
At the Filoli Estate, President Joe Biden welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping for a bilateral meeting.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen were also in attendance.
Despite a few technical difficulties, the meeting proceeded smoothly with both leaders discussing key issues.
“Here they come,” Biden said making a gesture before his mic was cut.
