The Washington Free Beacon shared an interview with Dr. Ben Carson that I found interesting. Dr. Carson, a retired neurosurgeon turn politician, said he felt sorry for Dr. Anthony Fauci, and at first, I was kind of outraged at the thought. Feel sorry for Fauci? Why? How? He’s the highest-paid federal employee that no one wanted…

According to Dr. Carson, Fauci is forced to take positions that he knows are false:

“I feel sorry for Dr. Fauci, actually,” Carson told radio host Vince Coglianese. “Because he’s trying to carry the water for the administration, and the policies that they are advocating don’t make sense. He obviously knows they don’t make sense. … He knows that we’re doing people a disservice.”

Carson said that Fauci, the chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden, is disregarding scientific truths, such as natural immunity, to support the White House’s insistence on vaccine mandates and widespread masking.

“Why are you trying to make people who already have better immunity than the vaccine gives take a vaccine?” Carson said. “Why don’t you let people work with their medical professionals, because everybody has different situations? Some people are very vulnerable, some people are not. They shouldn’t all be put into the same category.”

Carson, the secretary of housing and urban development during the Trump administration and a Presidential Medal of Freedom awardee for his groundbreaking work in pediatric neurosurgery, predicted that it will take a long time for medical agencies to regain the trust of the American people.

“It’s going to be a long, long time before the general population has faith in our government medical facilities again—and that to me is a tremendous problem,” Carson said.

I can’t agree with Dr. Carson, I don’t feel sorry for Fauci he sold his soul for a job, and the American people are the ones who have to pay for it—Both monetarily and through the loss of freedoms. What I do agree with Dr. Carson on is that it will be a very long time before anyone trusts government medical facilities again. Fauci isn’t the first sell-out, but at this magnitude? He’s done a grave disservice by ignoring the science in an effort to carry the line for politicians, in my opinion.
