A Wright County woman arrested for shoplifting in Monticello, Minnesota, has become an unlikely internet sensation after her booking photo drew widespread comparisons to singer and actress Jennifer Lopez.
Cyrena Anne Quast, 35, of Saint Cloud, was arrested Aug. 30 after being accused of stealing two double packs of power tool batteries worth roughly $580 from a Monticello store, according to a criminal complaint obtained by The Watch MN. A store employee reportedly recognized her from an alleged theft two days earlier and contacted police.
Quast reportedly admitted to taking the battery packs and was booked on a gross misdemeanor theft charge, according to online arrest listings. She was released the day after her arrest, the Daily Mail reported.
The mugshot, taken by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, quickly spread online, with commenters noting the striking resemblance to the 57-year-old entertainer.

Public records show Quast’s Aug. 30 arrest was not her first encounter with law enforcement. She has previously faced charges including drug possession, DWI, fleeing police, and providing false identification, along with several traffic violations, according to the records.
