On February 23, 2022, a shocking discovery was made in the basement of a Green Bay, Wisconsin home. Police bodycam footage revealed that officers found a bucket containing body parts of 25-year-old murder victim Shad Thyrion.
Police bodycam footage showed the moment police in Green Bay, Wisconsin, found the bucket filled with the severed head and penis of a murder victim in his mother’s basement.
Taylor Schabusiness, also 25 years old, was accused of strangling him during what she described as an “intense” BDSM sex session fueled by methamphetamine.
According to court documents, Schabusiness admitted to police that she choked Thyrion with a chain and continued even after he had turned purple.
After his death, she allegedly began sexually abusing his corpse before dismembering it using a bread knife. She reportedly placed his head and penis in one bucket while stuffing one of his legs into her roommate’s van.
Schabusiness’ trial started on February 2023 but was delayed after the defendant attacked her lawyer for unknown reasons.
During a pretrial session in February 2023, Schabusiness’ lawyer wanted to request a two-week delay for her murder trial. The woman attacked her attorney for unknown reasons, and it was caught on camera.
Schabusiness had pled not guilty and not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.
Officers were heard on the bodycam footage saying “Oh my f**king God,” and “Jesus,” as they appeared distraught at what they discovered.
“We’ve got quite a bit of blood down here,” one said over the radio.
“I went downstairs. At the bottom of the stairs, to the right, there was a green bucket with a shower towel on top of it,” Officer Alex Wanish testified in court. “Just to verify we had an actual head in the bucket, lifted the towel off and there was in fact a human head, severed head in the bucket.”
He also described chunks of flesh near a bloody mattress.
