On Thursday, a Wisconson judge denied a request to have Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse rearrested, even though prosecutors griped that Rittenhouse violated the terms of his release by moving.
Judge Bruce Schroeder ordered the 18-year-old Rittenhouse to give his new address to the sheriff’s department and told the complainers that the teen did not forfeit his freedom when he moved.
During a live stream hearing the judge said, “To issue a warrant now for a defendant who has appeared at every hearing, I’d be breaking the law. And I’m not going to do it.”
“After what this town has been through in the last six months, I don’t want any more problems,” Schroeder said. “The police don’t want any more problems.” But the anti-gun leftist activists do want more problems.
Rittenhouse is currently facing murder and attempted murder charges in the August 25 shooting death of two Black Lives Matter protesters and the wounding of a third. I believe ultimately he’s going to win on those charges because the videos show that he was simply defending himself. One might think that having to defend yourself three times in one night with deadly force is a bit odd but so is Democrat politicians doing next to nothing to stop a riot.
Rittenhouse was with armed militia groups who were asked to help protect businesses in Kenosha during a looting and rioting spree after the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
When confronted by rioters on the night of the fatal incidents, Rittenhouse shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and wounded Gaige Grosskreutz in the encounter. All three attacked the teenager and he defended himself. There is video evidence supporting this. They attacked him and he defended himself against them. In America, you still have the right to defend yourself when somebody is trying to harm you or kill you. There is even video evidence when Rittenhouse shot one of his attackers and he could have continued shooting but he didn’t. There is also evidence that Rittenhouse ran away from the one shooting scene to protect himself but he came back to check on the guy because that’s his nature. He is a trained EMT and he wasn’t there to shoot people. Rittenhouse was there to help and protect people who were victims of the rioting.
Rittenhouse was accused of flashing white-power symbols while having a beer with members of the Proud Boys. You could give the peace sign today and the Woke Supremacy on the left will claim it’s a racist power symbol. That’s because they’re not too bright collectively and they can’t come up with any other argument so they always go to the least common denominator: racism.
Rittenhouse is free on a $2 million bond, most of it raised by supporters along with actor Ricky Schroder and My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell who helped with his bail.
Prosecutors howled when Rittenhouse moved out of his home in Antioch, Illinois, to a new residence his lawyers described as a “safe house” due to death threats. It seems to me that law enforcement under Democrat-run administrations care more about the looters and rioters than they do for the safety of a young man who defended himself. Prosecutors would rather Rittenhouse stay where he was and get attacked than to be able to move to a secure location. The world has truly gone mad.
“All it takes is one crackpot and it’s a problem,” Rittenhouse defense attorney Mark Richards said. “There’s a substantial bond posted by people who support Kyle Rittenhouse.”
The DA’s office requested the bond be increased by $200,000, and they wanted Rittenhouse re-arrested until he is able to come up with the additional money. All because the teen was receiving death threats and he had to be moved to a secure location.
John Huber, Anthony Huber’s father, Grosskreutz, and lawyers for Huber and Rosenbaum all took part in Thursday’s live-streamed hearing.
“This kid, we don’t know where he is,” Huber said. “You don’t know where he lives. Nobody in that court knows where he lives.”
Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger accused Rittenhouse of flaunting his freedom by showing up at a bar with his parents with a shirt that said, “Free as F–k,” and throwing white supremacist hand symbols.
Kyle Rittenhouse is not a white supremacist and I believe Binger knows this, but he doesn’t have a better argument so he went there. The amount of lies that public officials get away with these days is disgusting. There may be a white supremacist hand sign those idiots use that resembles the traditional and universally known okay sign, but people still do use the okay sign no different from a thumbs up. Next, people like Thomas Binger are going to make up stories where a white supremacist once used a thumbs-up sign and from that moment on, we’re going to be expected to believe that everyone the does a thumbs-up sign is now a white supremacist.
Binger said that Rittenhouse is using a PO Box for his address which isn’t in Illinois, where he was living or in Wisconsin, where the shooting took place. Apparently, the judge doesn’t have a problem with it, so Binger is just taking part in an academic exercise.
“We don’t know where an accused murderer is,” Binger said. “That’s the bottom line.” The bottom of the bottom line is Binger wants Rittenhouse in peril 24/7.
“I’m simply asking that this defendant be treated like anyone else,” he said. “Every defendant is required to provide this information.” Binger’s case proves that Rittenhouse is not being treated like everyone else. There’s video evidence that the teen was defending himself during a riot from people who were trying to harm him. Most people don’t even know that Rittenhouse was fired upon first and that’s because people like Binger and the Woke Supremacy media mob want you to believe the teen is guilty of murder. They have an agenda.
The judge acknowledged Rittenhouse violated the terms of his bond when he moved and didn’t report it to the court, but he said that wasn’t enough to have him arrested again or to increase the bond.
“Most of the people who are out on bond, we don’t know where they are,” he said.
Richards, Rittenhopuse’s lawyer, vowed to the court that his client would not miss a hearing.
“My client will appear,” he said. “He looks forward to litigating these offenses in your honor’s courtroom. We have nothing to fear. The truth will set my client free.”
