“Listen, I want to thank Gov. Abbott because he signed 22 bills this year making it easier for mass shooters to buy, carry and own guns in his state,” Goldberg said.

“Let’s apply his abortion laws to guns by deputizing citizens to sue anyone involved in gun violence,” Goldberg said. “So, you sold an AR-15 at the gun show? See you in court. Does your neighbor have too big an arsenal? Call the cops.”

“Actually, let’s invoke Supreme Court logic too,” she said. “[Justice Samuel] Alito says abortion’s not in the constitution. Well, neither are AR-15s. So, I guess the constitution doesn’t cover them either. If life is so sacred then stop using guns to abort young lives.”

Co-host Joy Behar interrupted, saying, “Stop voting for Republicans.”

Goldberg argued that AR-15s were a particular threat, unlike shotguns.

“People who are going to look and say, ‘Okay, we don’t have to have AR-15s, but I want to keep my shotgun because I still hunt. Okay. You can have your gun, but you can’t have your AR-15.’”

“They’re going to come for those AR-15s and you better get ready to give them up because this is America,” Goldberg stated.

Watch

A reported 21 people were killed in an attack by a lone gunman at an elementary school in the small town of Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday. Of the dead are 19 students and two adults. An additional 17 people were injured.

All victims had been identified as of Wednesday.

The gunman was killed by a law enforcement agent.

The attack at Robb Elementary School occurred just two days before the summer break was to begin, with the school’s calendar listing May 26 as the last day of classes. The school teaches students in grades two through four, and around 600 students attend.

The rush to politicize the horrific massacre and use their deaths as a political stage to preach about unrealistic gun bans has been disgusting. Firstly, criminals don’t abide by laws—That’s why they’re criminals. Secondly, if Democrats wanted to help thwart violence at schools they would support realistic and useful bills that would have safeguarded the schools but instead, they blocked them without giving a justifiable reason.

It’s unconstitutional, despite what Golderberg claims, to punish lawful gun owners while politicians refuse to enforce workable tactics like having more law enforcement in schools, metal detectors, smart tech cameras, and mental health checks.
