A whistleblower has brought to light a troubling situation within the Biden administration’s Department of Agriculture, accusing it of systematically prioritizing loan forgiveness for minority farmers while excluding white farmers, even those facing significant financial challenges. This revelation comes from a courageous insider within the Federal Farm Bureau, who spoke with NewsNation’s Brian Entin. The program, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act, aimed to cancel debts for farmers, but only those who weren’t white males qualified.

The whistleblower described the program as specifically designed to pay off loans based solely on race, not financial need. “It was to pay off anyone who wasn’t a white male’s loan,” the whistleblower explained. The criteria for this loan forgiveness were simple: “The United States Secretary of Agriculture shall provide a payment in an amount up to 120% of the outstanding indebtedness of each socially disadvantaged farmer or rancher.”

The term “socially disadvantaged” was applied to a broad range of groups, including American Indian, Alaskan Native, Asian, black, African American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, Hispanic, or Latino, effectively excluding white farmers. NewsNation’s Entin asked for clarification, “So, just to be clear, if you were in that group, you were told you didn’t have to pay your bills?” The whistleblower confirmed, “Yes, that’s correct.”

James Dunlap, a small family farmer from Baker City, Oregon, found himself left out of the program simply because of his race. Despite juggling multiple jobs to keep his farm afloat, he didn’t qualify for the program. “To me, it was just… combating racism with more racism,” Dunlap said.

Dunlap and other white farmers challenged the policy in court and emerged victorious. A federal judge deemed the policy unconstitutional, stating that excluding white farmers amounted to “an actual constitutional harm that cannot be undone” and described the harm as “irreparable.” However, the Biden administration remained undeterred.

In a move to circumvent the court’s decision, the administration rebranded the effort under the Inflation Reduction Act. Although it was promoted as open to all struggling farmers, whistleblower documents indicated otherwise. Internal emails obtained by NewsNation revealed that the USDA sent targeted messages to minority farmers about new payments and loan modifications, leaving white farmers uninformed.

“They got nothing,” the whistleblower stated bluntly, emphasizing the unfairness of the situation. “It might not meet the legal definition of fraud, but it isn’t right. It was discriminatory, it was unethical, and the people who pushed it are still in charge of the agency.”

More alarmingly, USDA workers were allegedly instructed to advise minority farmers to cease payments on their loans entirely, as the administration-backed program was expected to forgive them. When approached for comment, the USDA did not directly address the whistleblower’s claims. However, they issued a statement condemning the Biden-era DEI programs, labeling them as “absurd.”

The statement affirmed that Secretary Rollins had “rescinded all DEI programs” upon taking office under President Trump. This move was seen as a step toward restoring fairness within the agency. Joe Biden campaigned on a promise to combat institutional racism, yet his administration has been accused of perpetuating it.

By implementing policies that seemingly punished struggling white farmers for their skin color, the administration has been criticized for engaging in state-sanctioned discrimination. The whistleblower’s revelations highlight a disturbing trend within federal agencies under the guise of “equity.” For those seeking more insights into government discrimination, PJ Media offers exclusive analysis on how federal agencies may be weaponizing “equity” against American farmers.
