During a joint press conference on Wednesday evening, the White House cut its live feed mere seconds after President Joe Biden said he was willing to take questions.

The virtual discussion was held live by Biden and House Democrats. Throughout the session, Biden implored his Democratic allies to explain to their constituents the importance of the COVID-relief package.

“Thank you,” Biden said, concluding his speech from the White House Briefing Room, “and I’m happy to take any questions, if that’s what I’m supposed to do, Nance.” By “Nance,” he was, of course, alluding to the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Demonstrably unaware of the fact that he’s the leader of the country, Biden hesitantly added, “Whatever you want me to do.”

Pelosi didn’t respond; instead, as Biden was better positioning himself to take questions, the live stream was interrupted rather abruptly. The live feed transitioned to a blue White House logo.

According to Newsweek, the video has been viewed over 1.1 million times as of Thursday morning.

Biden has drawn additional criticism from both Republicans and Democrats for still not holding a solo press conference as president. CNN reported that Biden “is behind his 15 most recent predecessors, who all held a solo press conference within 33 days of taking office.”

The left preaches unification; however, they shut down events, instead of taking questions from those with concerns.
