President Trump announced Saturday that he has offered the job of White House Press Secretary to UFC President Dana White, according to a post on Truth Social first flagged by Fox News’ Bill Melugin.

In the post, Trump wrote: “I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States. I have requested that he bring with him assistants, even though some are not from our Country, of Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris. We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!”

The names Trump listed as potential assistants are all current or former UFC fighters.

The announcement came just hours after Trump named Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller as the new White House Chief of Staff during the lame duck presidency period.

As of this writing, White has not publicly responded to the offer. This is a developing story.
