President Donald Trump and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene are locked in a public spat after Mr. Trump withdrew his endorsement and began giving her new nicknames, while Greene has pushed back by highlighting her work on the Epstein files and defending victims. The exchange has featured sharp social posts, exacting quotes, and pointed accusations from both sides, with Greene insisting her loyalty is to faith, her district, and exposing elite corruption. This row has exposed deeper tensions over party loyalty, policy priorities, and who gets to speak for conservative voters going into the next cycle.

Trump escalated the feud by labeling Greene with fresh monikers and accusing her of betraying the GOP. He wrote, “Lightweight Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Brown (Green grass turns brown when it begins to ROT!), betrayed the entire Republican Party when she turned Left, performed poorly on the pathetic View, and became the RINO that we all know she always was. Just another fake politician, no different than Rand Paul Jr. (Thomas Massie), who got caught being a full-fledged Republican In Name Only (RINO)! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!” That post landed publicly and signaled a rare, stern rebuke from the former ally.

Within hours he doubled down, assigning yet another label and making his stance unmistakable. He referred to her as “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Greene” and later wrote, “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Green [sic] is a disgrace to our GREAT REPUBLICAN PARTY!.” Those exact words underline how personal this disagreement has become, and how seriously Mr. Trump views perceived disloyalty. From a Republican perspective, party unity matters, and public defections are treated as political threats.

Greene answered by leaning into the issues she says matter most, pointing to her work on the Epstein files and her defense of sexual assault survivors. She posted on X to thank people who reached out amid the clash and wrote, “I never thought that fighting to release the Epstein files, defending women who were victims of rape, and fighting to expose the web of rich powerful elites would have caused this, but here we are. And it truly speaks for itself,” . Greene framed her fight as principled and aimed at accountability rather than party scoring.

“The toxic political industrial complex thrives on ripping us all apart but never delivers anything good for the American people, whom I love,” she added, stressing a loyalty to voters over personalities. Trump, for his part, explained why he was pulling his endorsement and accused her of complaining instead of celebrating his record. He called her a “ranting lunatic” and promised “complete and unyielding support” for “the right person” if a primary challenge appears in 2026.

The president also complained that Greene had been upset about missed calls, saying he cannot be on the phone with every Representative every day. He wrote that “with 219 congressmen/women, 53 U.S. senators, 24 cabinet members, almost 200 countries, and an otherwise normal life to lead, I can’t take a ranting lunatic’s call every day.” From a Republican viewpoint, that remark read as both exasperation and a boundary setting moment from a leader juggling many demands.

Greene responded publicly by sharing what she said were texts she had sent to Trump and by alleging that the Epstein files were the core of the dispute. She said, “President Trump just attacked me and lied about me. I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today. Apparently this is what sent him over the edge. The Epstein files.” That claim set the tone for her defense and shifted attention back to the content she wants released.

In the message Greene shared she urged a look at flight logs and named high-profile figures, writing, “Check the flight logs of Epstein’s plane. Bill Clinton is on there like 26 times! Hillary too!! For many of us releasing the Epstein files has always been for the women who were victims of Jeffery Epstein, but also because we believed that Democrat bad guys like the Clintons were entangled and involved with him. Epstein was the spider that wove the web of the deep state. Lean into it.” Those lines are central to her case and explain why the files matter to her politically and morally.

of “coming after me hard to make an example and scare all the other Republicans before next weeks [sic] vote to release the Epstein files.” She remarked that it was “astonishing” that Trump was “fighting” to stop the files from being released to the public. Greene has repeatedly insisted her first obligation is to constituents and victims, not to any single politician.

Greene closed by declaring where her loyalty lies, reminding followers she has invested time and money backing Trump while making clear she answers to her faith and district. She wrote, “I have supported President Trump with too much of my precious time, too much of my own money, and fought harder for him even when almost all other Republicans turned their back and denounced him.” “But I don’t worship or serve Donald Trump. I worship God, Jesus is my Savior, and I serve my district GA14 and the American people,” she added, framing her stance as principled and rooted in personal conviction.
