“The View” co-host Joy Behar has once again sparked controversy with her outrageous and uninformed comments. During a recent episode of the popular daytime talk show, Behar declared that both the Supreme Court and the Electoral College are “un-American.”

Behar’s remarks came as the co-hosts were discussing President Trump’s recent appointment of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. Referring to the lifetime appointments of justices to the highest court in the land, Behar stated, “We should get rid of it.” She went on to say, “It’s not democratic to have people sitting there for 30 years.”

But Behar didn’t stop there. She also took aim at the Electoral College system, which determines the winner of presidential elections. “The Electoral College is also un-American,” she declared. “Why don’t we just count everybody’s vote?”

These comments from Behar are not only ignorant and misguided but also dangerous. The United States Constitution explicitly outlines both the structure of our government and the process for electing our leaders. The fact that a co-host on a mainstream talk show would call these fundamental aspects of our democracy un-American is deeply concerning.

But perhaps even more troubling is Behar’s clear bias in her statements. It seems that she only takes issue with these institutions when they do not align with her political beliefs. As pointed out by Fox News host Tucker Carlson, if the Supreme Court was majority liberal or if Democrats consistently won presidential elections through the Electoral College system, it is highly unlikely that Behar would be calling for their abolishment.

This is just another example of leftist hypocrisy and double standards when it comes to upholding our nation’s founding principles. The left claims to champion diversity and inclusivity, yet they cannot seem to tolerate differing viewpoints or respect long-standing institutions.

Behar’s comments are especially ironic considering “The View” is considered part of ABC News, a network that prides itself on being a reputable and unbiased source of information. Yet, their own co-host is spewing such divisive and inflammatory rhetoric.

It’s time for Americans to wake up and see the danger of allowing individuals like Behar to have a platform to spread their dangerous ideas. The United States is a country built on the rule of law and the Constitution, not the whims of talk show hosts.

Thankfully, there are still voices in the media willing to call out this kind of nonsense. Conservative news outlet The Gateway Pundit called Behar an “idiot” in their coverage of her comments, and rightly so. It’s time for Americans to demand better from our media and hold them accountable for their biased reporting.

In conclusion, Joy Behar’s recent remarks about the Supreme Court and Electoral College are not only misguided but also disrespectful to our nation’s founding principles. It’s time for all Americans, regardless of political affiliation, to stand up against this kind of dangerous rhetoric and defend our democracy.
