I feel like I should begin this with a “here’s Johnny” opener but that couldn’t being to express the sheer comical horror we’re all witnessing. Stacey Abrams, twice the unsuccessful gubernatorial candidate in Georgia, has announced to Drew Barrymore that she‘s seriously considering another go at the state‘s top office.
I guess she just can’t get enough.
Her logic? If at first you don‘t succeed, try, try, try again! Who knows, maybe the third time will be the charm? After all, why give up on a dream that twice has been cruelly denied? Or maybe she just really likes losing elections? Who can say?
“So what’s next, are you gonna run again?” Barrymore asked. “Are you going? Do we get to look forward to this and galvanize again?”
“I will likely run again,” Abrams said.
“Yes!” Barrymore gushed as the audience cheered.
“I don’t know,” Abrams added, however. (RELATED: Stacey Abrams’ Non-Profit Reportedly Collecting Donations Without License)
“Yes, yes!” Barrymore continued to scream. “So are you gonna go up against some tough men who kind of don’t always play fair.”
“Well, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again,” Abrams said. “And if it doesn’t work you try again.”
Watch
The 2018 and 2022 Georgia gubernatorial campaigns of Stacey Abrams have been the subject of much conversation. Despite raising an eye–popping $100 million in the most recent election, Abrams still somehow managed to leave with a debt of over a million dollars!
I guess it wasn‘t enough that celebrities like Leo DiCaprio and Melinda Gates had already donated buckets of money. I‘m sure Abrams was more focused on educating the public than actually winning the race. Yeah, sure…
While Abrams manages to talk big donors out of their money she still lacks what the people in Georgia want to see in leadership. She doesn’t have a proven track record unless we count that one time she played the president of earth on TV.
If the libs want to waste their money again, go ahead. It’s still a free country.
