As a student, remember those times where you had so much on your plate… Homework, pop quizzes, gym class, pretty much anything that has anxiety-inducing factors. Well, students at Deerpark CBS in Cork, Ireland, also have to worry about a ghost wandering their halls!
On October 1st around 3:00 AM — which is oddly enough “the witching hour” — the school’s security cameras caught something quite eerie. It’s something in a deserted corridor — amazing AND terrifying — that has people gasping for an explanation. In the video, you can see the door slams, a locker unit rocks back and forth, and some poor kid’s locker was ransacked. As an amateur ghost hunter, this looks like some poltergeist activity at its finest!
Some critics in the video’s comments write that it must be a prank.
The evidence is just too good to be true, but Deerpark’s principal, Aaron Wolfe says:
“If it’s a prank we don’t know how it was done. Motion sensors were set off at this time, that’s how it was caught.”
Wolfe says this isn’t the first time Deerpark CBS has experienced what many call “paranormal activity,” saying there was one time a staff member spent the night to keep an eye on some exotic birds at the school for a show. Wolfe says:
“That person left the school in the middle of the night — they refused to stay any longer as they said that they heard ‘the last call’ being played on a trumpet. Of course this could have just been the wind.”
In the past, one student has heard crying coming from the bathroom, and no one was there. Others claim to see lights in the school go on and off during the night. Even some staff members claim that the hallway captured in the video had been extra cold in the days leading up to the ghost sighting.
Judging by this CCTV footage, this ghost is clearly pissed off he failed the biology exam!
