Country singer Riley Green stopped a fight from spiraling out of control during a concert in Albuquerque, New Mexico, over the weekend, calmly talking down two feuding fans from the stage in the middle of his set.
As a scuffle broke out in the crowd, Green paused the show and addressed the audience directly.
“I was hoping I wouldn’t have to whoop nobody’s a** today…Hey, can I talk to you all for a second? If everybody’s okay, why don’t you just split up. You all go stand somewhere else. How can you fight during a love song? It’s way too early,” Green said from the stage.
The rest of the crowd responded with boos directed at the people fighting, and venue security moved in to handle the situation.
Once things settled down, Green lightened the mood with a joke.
“You all just hold it together for a little while. We’ll play for about 90 minutes and then we can all beat the sh** out of each other at the end of the night,” the “Jesus Saves” singer said.
Video of the moment has circulated online, showing Green handling the disruption without escalating it, defusing the tension with a mix of calm authority and humor before continuing the show.
