President Trump made his much-anticipated first public appearance since surviving an assassination attempt during the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The attempt took place in Butler, Pennsylvania, last Saturday, where President Trump narrowly avoided a fatal shot to the head.
A supporter, Corey Comperatore, tragically lost his life while shielding his family from the gunfire aimed at the President.
As President Trump took the stage on Thursday, the RNC honored Comperatore by displaying his fire suit and helmet on a stand, which President Trump embraced before delivering his speech.

It was a touching moment.
President Trump later told the packed house, “I shouldn’t be here today.”
It was by the grace of God that saved his life.
Our condolences to the family of the incredible hero that lost his life shielding his family.
He lived a hero. He died a hero. And he will always be remembered as a hero.
We will never forget his name.
Rest in paradise, Corey Comperatore.
