Los Angeles police are now investigating whether Penthouse Pet and social media influencer Adva Lavie drugged her billionaire ex-fiance, Stephen Cloobeck, with ketamine, according to a police search warrant obtained by the Los Angeles Times.
Lavie, 29, already faces felony charges accusing her of using dating apps to cozy up to wealthy people and steal from them. Now investigators are looking at what happened during her relationship with Cloobeck, 64.
The ketamine investigation surfaced after the LAPD asked a judge in August for permission to search Lavie’s phone. The warrant states that Beverly Hills Detective Steve Own had already been investigating the drugging allegation when he spotted Lavie at Azur, a French Mediterranean restaurant, in July.
Lavie was out on bail at the time, taking selfies inside the restaurant. Own noticed she was apparently not wearing the ankle monitor a court had ordered her to wear.
“Own was familiar with Lavie because he himself had been investigating whether Lavie was drugging her fiance Steve Cloobeck with ketamine,” LAPD Detective Andrea Marsh wrote in the warrant affidavit.
Cloobeck had previously filed a report with Beverly Hills police, the Times reported. The warrant does not disclose the circumstances behind that report or say what first prompted detectives to investigate the drugging claim. Lavie’s attorney, Jeremy Lessen, declined to comment on the allegation.
Mounting Allegations
The ketamine probe adds to a lengthy list of accusations against Lavie, who has also gone by the names Mia Ventura, Shoshana and Shana.
She has pleaded not guilty to two counts of grand theft and two counts of first-degree residential burglary. Prosecutors allege she used dating apps between 2023 and 2025 to target wealthy older men and younger women in Westlake Village, West Hollywood, Los Angeles and Beverly Hills.
Authorities have flagged additional potential cases connected to Lavie in Hermosa Beach, Nevada, Florida, Italy and France.
One of the most brazen allegations came during Coachella weekend in July. While free on bail, Lavie allegedly attended the Coachella Valley Music Festival, where Indio police say she stole thousands of dollars in luxury goods from a victim, including an $8,600 Rolex, $700 Louis Vuitton sunglasses, a Louis Vuitton card holder and nearly $2,000 in cash. Police also allege she drove off in the victim’s Cybertruck. She has not been charged in connection with those allegations.
The Ankle Monitor
Lavie’s run-in at the restaurant led to another arrest after Detective Own spotted her and alerted officials. Investigators discovered her court-ordered monitor was pinging from the nearby Peninsula Hotel, and she was taken back into custody.
Her attorneys later sought mental health diversion, but the request failed. At a hearing last month, prosecutors played jailhouse recordings in which they said Lavie bragged about exploiting Cloobeck.
A Relationship Already Over
By the time of that hearing, the couple’s relationship had already fallen apart. Cloobeck called off their engagement in early June, scrapping wedding plans, and Lavie moved out of his $26 million Beverly Hills mansion.
A person close to the pair previously told the New York Post that Cloobeck remained friendly with his former fiancee and “still cares about Adva.”
Cloobeck has his own legal troubles. He was arrested in May and charged with three counts of attempting to dissuade a witness from testifying and one count of harassment for making annoying phone calls. His attorney has reportedly called those charges false.
