The Patriots will take the field Sunday against the Miami Dolphins without wide receiver A.J. Brown, running back TreVeyon Henderson and offensive tackle Marcus Bryant, all three ruled out after being listed as questionable earlier in the week.
Brown is dealing with ankle and knee injuries. Henderson is out with an illness. Bryant has an ankle injury.
Brown’s absence continues a rough stretch for the receiver. He first hurt his ankle in the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 9, a game played at Lumen Field and billed as a rematch of Super Bowl LX, which Seattle won 29-10 over New England in February to claim the franchise’s second Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Brown went down on that play after a Seahawks defender rolled into him. He stayed on the field briefly before medical staff attended to him, then walked to the sideline on his own. He didn’t return, finishing the night with three catches for 26 yards, and was later ruled out with the ankle injury. He spent the next four games on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain before returning to play the past two games.
Brown came to New England this year after Philadelphia traded him for a pair of future draft picks, a move that followed an uneven 2025 season for the Eagles’ offense and reports that his friendship and on-field chemistry with quarterback Jalen Hurts had frayed.
For Henderson, Sunday marks his second missed game of the season. He also sat out the opener with an ankle injury.
Bryant has spent the season on injured reserve but was designated to return and took part fully in practice all week before Sunday’s ruling.
