New Poll Being Silenced by Media Blows Up Democrats’ Narratives

The headline is simple: a new poll shows broad American support for the policies President Trump has been pushing and the establishment press is acting like it does not exist. Conservatives have watched for years as mainstream outlets pivot away from stories that hurt progressive narratives, and this feels like more of the same. The results cut across crime, immigration, tariffs, and cultural issues, and they are too politically inconvenient for some reporters to promote.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt put the numbers on public display and the reaction has been telling: some outlets treat it like a minor footnote while grassroots conservatives are amplifying every data point. That disconnect matters because when the media filters what voters hear, it shapes the outcomes of debates and elections. The poll makes clear that much of the country is aligned with tougher border policies, stronger law enforcement, and common-sense cultural protections.

In a post on X on Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt posted a poll that showed in almost every category, Americans support things like deporting illegal criminals, closing the border, banning trans-identifying males from competing against women, imposing tariffs on foreign countries, efforts to make cities safer, and more.

“The media refuses to report this: 78 percent of Americans support deporting immigrants who are here illegally and have committed crimes,” Leavitt wrote. “56 percent of Americans support deporting all immigrants who are here illegally.”

“President Trump’s efforts to Make America Safe Again are very popular!” she added. As the poll noted, “A majority of Americans support nearly every one of President Trump’s policies.”

Why the Media Quieted This

There are a few blunt reasons why this poll has not broken through into every cable tickertape: it undermines prevailing political storylines and threatens to energize voters uncomfortable with soft-on-crime and open-borders rhetoric. The polls show voters favor policies that are practical and commonsense, not ideological abstractions. When the findings threaten a dominant narrative, expect selective coverage and an attempt to reframe or ignore the raw numbers.

Look at the meat of the poll and the picture gets clearer: voters back measures that restore safety and enforce laws. Suburban families want streets where kids can play, workers want borders they can rely on, and taxpayers want trade that does not put American producers at a permanent disadvantage. These are not niche positions, they are mainstream views that cross demographic lines.

Lowering prescription drug prices for Medicare recipients and low-income patients-86 percent approve, 14 percent don’t.

Closing the border with added security and policies that discourage illegal crossings-68 percent approve, 32 percent don’t.

Banning men who have undergone operations and hormones to become women from girls’ sports-65 percent approve, 35 percent don’t.

Making the 2017 Tax Cuts permanent-62 percent approve-32, percent don’t.

Use the military immigration in the U.S.-55 percent approve-45, percent don’t.

Placing reciprocal tariffs on countries that have tariffs on US goods-59 percent approve, 41 percent don’t.

Those figures are striking because they show agreement on issues that shape everyday life, not abstract polling questions. When 86 percent back lowering drug prices for seniors, that is beyond partisan posturing. When majorities back border security and fair trade, that is a mandate politicians ignore at their peril.

There are, however, areas where Republican messaging still needs work and where the opposition finds cheap oxygen. The poll shows a closer divide over using the military or National Guard in cities to tackle out-of-control crime. That nuance matters politically and it shows a place where careful communication wins votes.

Specifically the poll reports: “Use the National Guard and active-duty military to police American cities and stop crime and disorder-51 percent approve compared to 49 percent who do not.” That razor-thin margin means the White House should explain the plan clearly and emphasize community safety to win independents. Conservatives should double down on showing how restoring order protects livelihoods and civil liberties alike.

Media silence or obfuscation does not change the underlying reality that voters are frustrated and want effective action. Republicans can use this data to push a common-sense agenda that speaks to pain points—crime, drugs, unchecked migration, and unfair trade. The task is to convert approval into policy wins while making the case loudly and repeatedly to citizens who are already sympathetic.

Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.

Conservative readers should see this poll as validation of long-held priorities: secure borders, safe streets, economic fairness, and common-sense cultural boundaries. The question ahead is whether GOP leaders will push these findings into real reforms or let them be another story the media buries.
