Republican Rep Nancy Mace humiliated liberals during a House committee reviewing violent rhetoric. After getting everyone to agree that rhetoric can lead to violence, she shredded the left by pointing out how the left has targeted the Supreme Court with violence.
Americans were outraged on Tuesday as the House Committee on Oversight and Reform exposed Harvard Law School professor Alejandra Caraballo’s call for harassing Supreme Court justices who ruled against Roe v. Wade in Dobbs.
In the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling, Caraballo — a radical transgender-rights activist and legal instructor — called for the justices to “never know peace again” on Twitter, and described it as a “civic duty” for people to accost them in public. She also called the court “not a legitimate court” and an “organ of the far right.”
This rhetoric is antithetical to the principles of democracy and our Constitution, which specifically protect the Supreme Court’s right to make decisions, regardless of public opinion. For Caraballo to urge harassment of justices simply for doing their jobs is an affront to our nation’s highest court, and a threat to our democracy.
Fortunately, Mace was on hand to expose Caraballo’s hypocrisy. She clearly showed that the activist’s words were in direct opposition to the very cause she was trying to fight for. Mace’s thorough questioning of Caraballo resulted in the activist’s utter humiliation. It served as a reminder that our democracy is built on civil discourse, and there is no room for verbal attacks on our judicial system.
The far-left’s attempts to undermine the Supreme Court are clear, and Caraballo’s words are a prime example of their anti-democracy rhetoric. Fortunately, Mace’s questioning was a reminder that such rhetoric, while thankfully still protected by the First Amendment, has no place in our democracy.

At the @OversightDems hearing on white supremacy, Rep. @NancyMace asked witnesses if extremist rhetoric on social media is a threat to democracy. Trans activist Alejandra Caraballo @Esqueer_ said, "Yes." The congresswoman then presented Caraballo's tweets. https://t.co/z5VG89Kf0w pic.twitter.com/OnAEsAOIgb

She followed up with a tweet where she added, “If you’re gonna be a hypocrite who advocates for violence online, you probably shouldn’t do it testifying in my committee…”
