Biden has failed to address the border crisis. His policies have only worsened the crisis and left thousands of unaccompanied children vulnerable to exploitation.
Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee recently spoke out about the tragic consequences of this crisis, including the use of unaccompanied minors for child labor, sex trafficking, and other forms of modern-day slavery.
During an interview with Fox News host Harris Faulkner, she pointed out the shocking truth that the Biden administration has lost track of 85,000 of these children. This is an unacceptable and inhumane situation, and it needs to be addressed immediately.
The Republican Senator isn’t the only one who has tried to raise awareness about this issue. In November 2015, Senator Charles Grassley of Iowa wrote to the Obama administration about similar exploitation of unaccompanied minors.
Unfortunately, no action was taken then and no action is being taken now.
What’s even more concerning is that the Department of Labor initiated an investigation into snack factories for child labor violations in February. This means that the Biden administration is aware of the exploitation of unaccompanied minors and is choosing to turn a blind eye. This is why the GOP is calling for the Biden administration to do better.
It’s time for Democrats to stop ignoring the border crisis and start taking action. The GOP has already proposed reasonable solutions to the crisis, including increasing border security and reforming the immigration system.
We need to put an end to modern-day slavery and protect the unaccompanied minors who are being exploited.
The Biden administration needs to take responsibility and take action to put an end to the exploitation of unaccompanied minors. We cannot allow this to continue any longer. It’s time for the Democrats to step up and do the right thing.
Better yet, voters need to pay attention and vote these clowns out of office before it’s too late.
