Hallmark’s “Mistletoe Murders” returns for Season 3 on Thursday, November 5, at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel, with new episodes airing weekly through December 10. The streaming-savvy audience that discovered the show on Netflix will have to wait, however, since Netflix has not confirmed a release date for the new season.
The mystery series stars Sarah Drew as Emily Lane, owner of a Christmas gift shop called Under the Mistletoe in the fictional town of Fletcher’s Grove, New York. Emily hides a mysterious past that resurfaces as a string of local murders pulls her into amateur sleuthing. Peter Mooney plays Detective Sam Wilner, the local officer who partners with Emily on the cases while growing increasingly curious about what she’s concealing.
The series is based on Ken Cuperus’ Audible Original. Cuperus serves as showrunner and has teased that this season’s guest star, Catherine Bell of “Good Witch,” will bring her own secrets to the story. Bell appears in the first two episodes playing the wife of a Christmas chairman.
Seasons 1 and 2 landed on Netflix on November 1 and quickly became among the streamer’s most-watched titles, roughly a year after each debuted on Hallmark. If Season 3 follows that same pattern, it could reach Netflix in time for the 2027 holiday season — but for now there is no confirmed date.
Viewers who want Season 3 as it airs have options beyond cable. New episodes will be available on Hallmark+ the day after broadcast. Viewers without cable can also watch Hallmark Channel live through a streaming service such as DIRECTV, which offers a five-day free trial and plans starting at $49.99 a month. Hallmark+ is currently offering new subscribers who sign up through Prime Video two months at $1 per month.
Anyone catching up before Thursday’s premiere can stream the first two seasons now on both Netflix and Hallmark+.
