Mainstream Media Claims Record Turnout In GA Early Voting Is Racist

In this Sept. 8, 2020 photo, voting booths are kept socially distant at the Chesterfield, N.H. polling site. A majority of President Donald Trump’s supporters plan to cast their ballot on Election Day, while about half of Joe Biden’s backers plan to vote by mail. That's according to a new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research that finds 54% of voters say they will vote before polls open on Nov. 3. ABC’s This Week dedicated their entire episode on slamming early voter turnout. Particularly the record-breaking early voting in Georgia. Host Marc Short said, “Joe Biden has said the election reforms in Georgia are Jim Crow 2.0. You have record numbers of people voting early in Georgia, record number of African Americans voting early & yet the Democrats are saying it’s Jim Crow 2.0”

Former Chief of Staff to Vice President Mike Pence, Marc Short, and former Democrat National Committee chair Donna Brazile went on a rant about how these, predominantly black and brown voters, are just another cog in their make-believe racist machine.

Brazile was foaming at the mouth to respond, “It’s Jim Crow! SB 202 as you well know allowed anyone to challenge the validity of a voter.

There are many African Americans and others, young people especially who are going out to vote and they’re being challenged. So here’s the level set that we should do in 2022, we know the electoral headwinds have shifted a little bit, maybe shifted toward the issues that Republicans care about—”

Jon Karl couldn’t help but note that the issues voters are worried about are gas prices, inflation, and the economy. Brazile couldn’t argue with the facts.

Instead she incorrectly claimed that Republicans haven’t issued a plan to fix Bidenflation but quickly jumped to call the majority of Republicans running a bunch of ‘election deniers’:

“Over half of the people running on the Republican side are election deniers and not only are they election deniers many of them showed up at the United States Capitol where we saw over 140 people, cops get injured, so this election is a referendum on the future and which party will promise to protect, defend and ensure that every American — defend our democracy and ensure that every American has freedom and prosperity.”

MARC SHORT: This is something that even this election cycle Joe Biden has said the election reforms in Georgia are Jim Crow 2.0. You have record numbers of people voting early in Georgia, record number of African Americans voting early & yet the Democrats are saying it’s Jim Crow 2.0?

DONNA BRAZILE: It is. It is. Unfortunately it is Jim Crow—

SHORT: How is that?

BRAZILE: It’s Jim Crow! SB 202 as you well know allowed anyone to challenge the validity of a voter. There are many African Americans and others, young people especially who are going out to vote and they’re being challenged. So here’s the level set that we should do in 2022, we know the electoral headwinds have shifted a little bit, maybe shifted toward the issues that Republicans care about—

JON KARL: Crime, inflation, gas prices, the economy.

BRAZILE: Absolutely, and if you list every one of those issues including immigration, there’s no plan the Republicans are offering, what they’re offering is a basic compact with voters that they just want power. Here’s what I believe, I think that Democrats are going to once again surprise the pundits, surprise the status quo, they will do well, early voting is looking good not just in Arizona but across the country Democrats have ideas they also would challenge these election deniers.

Over half of the people running on the Republican side are election deniers and not only are they election deniers many of them showed up at the United States Capitol where we saw over 140 people, cops get injured, so this election is a referendum on the future and which party will promise to protect, defend and ensure that every American — defend our democracy and ensure that every American has freedom and prosperity.

SHORT: Again, record numbers of African Americans turned out in Georgia right now, I don’t know how that’s Jim crow 2.0. I think the election this cycle is going to be a referendum on Joe Biden and it’s why Republicans are going to win.
