A 21-year-old man is facing first-degree rape and firearm charges after LSU police say he lured a freshman student into a study room inside Spruce Hall and raped her at gunpoint.
Ronald White of New Orleans was booked following the Friday night incident, according to an arrest warrant obtained by The Post. LSU police received a call about a rape at Spruce Hall, a dorm housing roughly 400 freshmen on the Baton Rouge campus, at around 11:15 p.m.
According to the warrant, the victim had gone to the building earlier that evening to visit a friend. Her friend invited a male acquaintance to the room, and that person brought White along. Within minutes, White allegedly asked the victim to walk with him to a fourth-floor study room so the other two could have privacy.
Once alone with her, White allegedly pulled a black pistol from his waistband and forced her to perform oral sex on him despite her repeatedly telling him no, the documents state.
After the assault, White allegedly told the victim to go get a paper towel. Instead, she went to the building’s lobby and had someone call campus police.
When officers arrived, White allegedly ignored repeated commands to stop and ran out of the building. Police caught him hiding under a car parked at a nearby intersection.
Officers found seven grams of marijuana on White but did not recover a firearm. As of Monday, when detectives submitted the warrant, the gun had still not been found.
White told police after his arrest that the victim had touched him
