This past Sunday, controversial YouTube star received major backlash for a video he posted from the Suicide Forest in Japan. In the video, Paul and his friends stumble upon a recently deceased male in the forest.
Rather than respecting the victim, cameras continued to roll. Then, the video was posted as blatant clickbait material. Prior to the discovery, Paul was joking and smiling while walking through the infamous forest.
If I’m going to get haunted by a ghost, I want to do it in my Gucci jacket, I want to look good.
Then, he and his friends found the corpse. The tone changed, but it appeared insincere.
This is a first for me, definitely a first for me…Suicide is not a joke…We came here with an intent to focus on the haunted aspect of the forest…Suicide is not the answer. There are people who love you, care for you…This is too scarily real.
The cameras continued to roll. It was clear this must have been an intentional reason for coming to the forest in the first place. Moments later, he’s joking again.
He shouts into the camera, “WHY?! This is how our lives unfold. There’s no going back!
Then he begins laughing. His assistant says, “You found a dead body.”
He replies, “Yup! What the f***! Me smiling and laughing…I cope with this with humor.”
At the end of the video, he addresses his audience about suicide and depression. I won’t post the full video out of respect, but it has since shown up across the Internet.
Aaron Paul (no relation) led the way to express outrage at Logan Paul’s opportunistic clickbait video.
How dare you! You disgust me. I can’t believe that so many young people look up to you. So sad. Hopefully, this latest video woke them up. You are pure trash. Plain and simple. Suicide is not a joke. Go rot in hell.

Logan Paul removed the video and initially responded to the backlash via Twitter.
