The documents tie Nicolas Maduro’s brutal communist regime directly to the notorious Tren de Aragua (TdA), a violent transnational gang that operates with the full support and direction of the Venezuelan state.
Often referred to as “the ISIS of Latin America,” Tren de Aragua has evolved beyond a criminal gang. Under Maduro’s orders, the group now functions as a paramilitary proxy—Venezuela’s unofficial foreign operations arm. Its objectives are clear: infiltrate, destabilize, and ultimately undermine democratic nations, with the United States as a primary target.
President Donald Trump, recognizing the gravity of this threat early on, took decisive action. His administration officially designated the Tren de Aragua and other cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. Trump warned that Venezuela had effectively become a narco-state, surrendering sovereignty to drug lords and criminal syndicates. His executive order emphasized that such groups had morphed into transnational threats with the resources and capabilities to launch asymmetric warfare—including the trafficking of fentanyl, human beings, and weapons—on American soil.
Emerald Robinson’s leaked intelligence documents contain alarming information: Tren de Aragua is being deployed as a weaponized force. These operatives are not simple criminals—they are highly trained in psychological warfare, sabotage, propaganda, and espionage. Backed by more than 300 officers from Venezuela’s military intelligence unit (DGCIM), they receive paramilitary training with tactics focused on subverting law and order inside host countries.
The briefing reveals that Tren de Aragua agents have been smuggled through South and Central America, aided by corrupt border officials, before crossing into the United States via the porous southern border. Once inside, they are reportedly housed in safe houses located in at least 20 U.S. cities, where they await further instruction. Their objective: to destabilize cities through organized crime, social disruption, and by sowing division among American communities.
One of the leading intelligence officers coordinating this operation is also linked to the Cártel de los Soles, Venezuela’s shadowy, state-run drug cartel known to dominate the Latin American narcotics trade. The cartel has been accused by the DEA and international watchdogs of flooding the U.S. with cocaine and fentanyl—drugs responsible for hundreds of thousands of American deaths in the past decade.
Under the Biden administration’s reckless open-border policies, which have allowed over 7 million illegal border crossings since 2021, these threats have only grown more acute. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have deliberately dismantled President Trump’s highly effective border security measures, including the “Remain in Mexico” policy, widespread ICE deportations, and border wall expansion. This border chaos has created an open channel for foreign adversaries to exploit.
Border Patrol and ICE agents have confirmed an alarming rise in encounters with Venezuelan nationals with known cartel affiliations. Incredibly, far-left politicians and activist groups have even condemned the deportation of Tren de Aragua members to high-security prisons like El Salvador’s CECOT—despite CECOT’s proven success in dismantling gang operations. Critics argue that incarcerating violent criminals from a terrorist organization violates their “human rights,” demonstrating a shocking disregard for American safety in favor of ideological fantasy.
President Trump warned repeatedly that America’s enemies would exploit weak leadership, and his prediction has now come true. His administration’s foresight in recognizing the threat of socialist regimes and cartel alliances was not political posturing—it was grounded in hard intelligence. Under Trump, the U.S. treated criminal states like Venezuela and their affiliates as the threats they are.
By contrast, the Biden administration’s ideological obsession with “inclusion” and open borders has put the nation at risk. A second term under Kamala Harris—who oversaw the so-called “root causes” of migration but accomplished nothing—would have allowed the Tren de Aragua and their state sponsors to expand their reach, embedding themselves deeper in American communities.
Make no mistake: Venezuela is conducting a hybrid war against the United States. Tren de Aragua is not just smuggling drugs or committing robberies.
