Doug Emhoff, who famously met Kamala Harris on a blind date, reportedly ended his first marriage after having an affair with the nanny of his children.
The extramarital relationship with Najen Naylor, a teacher at their children’s prestigious school, led to a pregnancy.
Emhoff was married to Kerstin Emhoff for 16 years before their divorce in 2009, and the affair with Naylor is said to have been a contributing factor to the marriage’s breakdown.
Naylor, who currently holds a senior position at Audible, did not refute the allegations when approached by Daily Mail.
Following the revelation of the affair, Naylor reportedly had to depart from her teaching role at The Willows, an esteemed private school in Culver City, California.
The school is renowned for its high tuition fees, which range from $32,525 to $41,535 annually.
A former parent at The Willows prior to 2009 alleged being aware of the affair and expressed disdain towards Emhoff while commending Naylor as a committed educator. An anonymous mother stated, “She was a wonderful person and a fantastic teacher for my children.”
According to sources close to the situation, Naylor allegedly became pregnant during the illicit relationship but ultimately did not keep the child.
However, social media posts from 2009 reveal the existence of a baby girl named Brook, raising questions about whether there is more to this story than initially believed.

In September 2009 Naylor posted a video on Facebook to ‘introduce’ three babies: Sawyer, Brook, and George, with the caption ‘Baby party!’.
Sawyer and George are the boys of Brooks, who has been her close friend since childhood in Columbus, Ohio. Those children were born in July 2009.
The third child, Brook, who appears slightly younger, does not appear to be Stacey’s daughter, and is not in any of her later Facebook family photos. It is unclear who Brook’s mother is.
When contacted by DailyMail.com and asked about the Emhoff affair, Brooks did not deny any of the information, but said that she would not comment further without Naylor’s permission.
She added that Naylor was a ‘wonderful’ woman.
