Joe Rogan recently disclosed that two former U.S. presidents pressured Spotify to censor his views on COVID-19. During a podcast episode with Dr. Mary Talley Bowden, Rogan shared how influential figures attempted to stifle his voice. Despite this, Rogan claims his listener base expanded significantly.

“Spotify got calls from two former presidents,” Rogan revealed, referring to the influence exerted over the platform. Spotify responded by flagging podcasts discussing COVID-19. Rogan, however, insists that this attention only fueled his popularity.

In fact, Rogan noted, “I grew by two million subscribers in a month.” He believes people were drawn to his approach, stating, “People started listening, and they started listening, like, ‘Oh, he’s really reasonable and pretty humble about all this stuff and just asking questions.’” This surge in subscribers suggested that many found his content credible.

Dr. Mary Talley Bowden was initially skeptical of Rogan’s claim. “Really?” she asked during their discussion. Rogan confirmed emphatically, “OH YEAH,” adding a tone of validation to the conversation.

Rogan also took issue with media outlets that ridiculed his use of ivermectin for COVID-19 treatment. He accused them of intentionally misleading the public by labeling it a “horse dewormer.” Rogan questioned why the media ignored the fact that he recovered quickly from the Delta variant.

His recovery, he emphasized, was during a time when many were in panic mode. “It was during the Delta where everybody’s freaking out. ‘This one’s going to kill us all,’” he continued, sharing his disbelief at the media’s portrayal of his experience.

Rogan’s quick recovery led him to question the motives of the mainstream media. “It’s so dirty. It’s such a dirty business,” he lamented. His respect for journalists has dwindled significantly over time.

Reflecting on his past views, Rogan admitted, “God, I used to have massive respect for journalists.” This sentiment has changed as he witnessed what he sees as media manipulation. He expressed regret over the current state of journalism.

“If I had never done this podcast, I would be your regular schmo out there with, you know, just spitting out all the company lines,” he admitted. Rogan believes his platform has opened his eyes to the media’s true nature. He now sees a world filled with “money-hungry demons.”

Rogan’s experiences have reshaped his perception of the media landscape. He no longer trusts mainstream narratives. This skepticism has become a recurring theme in his podcast discussions.

Joe Rogan continues to challenge what he views as misinformation and media bias. His journey reflects a broader distrust among many Americans towards traditional news outlets. This shift in perspective has resonated with his growing audience.

Listeners appreciate Rogan’s candidness and willingness to question mainstream narratives. His podcast serves as a platform for discussing controversial topics. Rogan remains committed to voicing his opinions despite external pressures.

Rogan’s stance aligns with a broader conservative sentiment against media manipulation. His experiences highlight a growing divide between alternative media and traditional news sources. This division is increasingly evident in the public discourse.
