On Wednesday, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) issued subpoenas for Hunter and James Biden, as well as family associate Rob Walker, to appear before the committee in a hearing under oath on December 13th, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. ET.
This is an extension of the House impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden that began with Comer’s subpoena for the Bidens’ bank records in September; both of which have been complied with.
“The House Oversight Committee has followed the money and built a record of evidence revealing how Joe Biden knew, was involved, and benefited from his family’s influence peddling schemes,” Comer said in a statement obtained by Breitbart News.
“Now, the House Oversight Committee is going to bring in members of the Biden family and their associates to question them on this record of evidence,” he continued.
“Unlike the many lies President Biden told the American people about his family’s business schemes, bank records don’t lie,” he added. “These records reveal how the Bidens sold Joe Biden around to the world to benefit the Biden family, including Joe Biden himself, to the detriment of U.S. interests.”
Comer has demanded that Walker appear before the committee after he refused to do so earlier this year, alongside Hunter and James Biden.
Comer intends to question Walker about his receipt of a $3 million payment, which was split between four members of the Biden family – Hunter, James, Hallie and an unidentified “Biden” – resulting in them collectively receiving $1.3 million.
This is part of the $24 million Comer claims the business received from foreign nationals over five years, including millions from China, Russia, Ukraine, Romania and Kazakhstan.
