As the Biden administration continues to face criticism over the surge of migrants crossing the border, Jeh Johnson, former Secretary of Homeland Security under President Obama, recently spoke out about the current situation, saying it is “much bigger” than it was in his time as DHS head. Now, the House Judiciary Committee is set to hold a hearing on the “Biden Border Crisis” and how DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has handled it.
It’s no secret that the situation at the border is completely out of control. Since Biden took office, more than five million migrants have crossed the border – the highest number ever recorded in US history. Despite the ongoing crisis, Mayorkas has seemingly been unable to get a handle on the situation, causing even fellow Democrats to express their dissatisfaction. In fact, House Republicans have even pledged to impeach Mayorkas over his handling of the border.
Now, Johnson is offering some advice to Mayorkas, saying that sometimes the job is all about repeating a clear and straightforward message that you want people to hear. That’s all well and good, but the reality is that this situation has gotten so far out of hand that it’s hard to see a resolution in sight.
It’s time for the Biden administration to get serious about this mess and take action before things get any worse. We need some real solutions that will actually secure our borders and ensure that those entering the US do so legally. Right now, it’s a goddamn free-for-all and it’s not going to end well.
We need to call on lawmakers to finally take action and put an end to the Biden Border Crisis before it spirals out of control. We need to make sure that our immigration laws are enforced and that those crossing the border are doing so legally. Anything else is just an open-invitation for chaos and unrest.
