Philipino singer gives the performance of a lifetime singing a very difficult song.
Marcelito Pomoy is a 32-year-old Philipino singer who has the ability to sing in both a tenor and a soprano and he was the winner of the Philipino version of America’s Got Talent. The song ‘the prayer’ is an extremely difficult song for one person to cover because you have to be able to properly belt out both the tenor and soprano aspects of the song which most people don’t have the range to do.
Via AWM:
As a child, Marcelito and his sister were welcomed into the home of a hard-working police officer. They were adopted and given a second chance at greatness. Marcelito did not waste his opportunity – he decided to put his talented voice to good use and make a career that transcends genres.
Although he sang throughout his life, he did not discover his unique talent of singing both tenor and soprano parts until much later in life. But after he discovered the skill God gave him that was hiding inside him, he tried out for Philippines Got Talent.
When the producers heard his voice, they instantly put him through to the next round. He made it on the show!
Now two albums later, Marcelito is still making headlines. The world cannot get enough of this man’s beautiful voice.
