Joy Reid has been a vocal opponent of the Republican Party and its policies, and she was at it again during a heated exchange with former Congressman Mike Rogers (R-MI). During the debate, Reid whined about the Republican Party’s alleged promotion of “big government” and bizarrely claimed that “nobody is having porn books at schools.” Rogers, however, immediately set her straight.
Reid was obviously referring to the controversy surrounding the Florida state government’s push for public schools to incorporate Critical Race Theory and other “woke” teachings into the classroom.
She argued that “Attacks on abortion are getting—they’re not like we want to leave it to the states. It’s like we’re gonna ban this nationwide.”
Rogers, however, argued that there is a difference between “tolerance of those who are different” and the “rights of parents away to make those kinds of decisions.” He argued that if parents want their children to read inappropriate books, they are free to do so at home, but that schools should not necessarily have to provide access to them.
Reid, however, was not content with this explanation, and ridiculously argued that “what you’re seeing is groups like Moms for Liberty say no kid can have this book. Ban it!”
The situation in Florida, however, is far more serious than just banning books. Governor Ron DeSantis recently showed at a press conference that some of the books being taught in public schools are so graphic that even local news channels are forced to cut away. This is an obvious violation of parental rights, and Reid should be ashamed for suggesting that there are no porn books in schools.
It is clear that the biased liberal media, and the Democratic Party, are attempting to push an agenda on young, impressionable children. This is unacceptable and must be stopped. We must support the Republican Party and its policies in order to protect our children from this obscene content.
Yesterday, we exposed the “book ban” hoax.
If news stations could not show this explicit material on air — why should it be in our schools? https://t.co/TCLZyMOYvB

We must also ensure that parents are given the right to decide what their children are exposed to, and not have it dictated by the government or special interest groups.
