The Georgia State Senate Special Committee on Investigations heard testimony on Wednesday morning from Ashleigh Merchant, the attorney representing Michael Roman, who is a co-defendant in the Trump RICO case.
In a recent court filing, Roman alleged that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis had “financially benefited” from a romantic relationship with Nathan Wade, a key prosecutor in the Trump case.
Merchant also provided testimony based on her discussions with Terrence Bradley, the former law partner and divorce attorney of Nathan Wade.
Merchant confirmed that Fani Willis had visited the White House and met with Kamala Harris before the Trump RICO indictment, as testified.
Publicly accessible records show that Fani Willis indeed had a meeting with Kamala Harris at the White House in February 2023, well in advance of the indictment against Trump.
Merchant testified to this on Wednesday.

Georgia judge Scott McAfee has stated that Fani Willis could potentially be removed from the Trump RICO case due to her inappropriate connection with chief Trump prosecutor Nathan Wade.
