A transgender woman (a biological male) is now another step closer to being crowned Miss USA.

Kataluna Enriquez, born a biological male, won the Miss Silver State USA pageant this week, which is an event thought of as the most important preliminary competition for the Miss Nevada USA pageant, KVVU-TV reported.

KVVU called it a “monumental win” for Enriquez, who now moves forward to the statewide competition in the pageant circuit that leads to Miss USA and, eventually, the Miss Universe competition.  Oh, boy!  Pun intended.

The pageants, which are all run under the umbrella of the Miss Universe Organization, were owned in the past by former President Donald Trump and are recognized around the globe for awarding some of the most sought-after crowns in the pageant world.

After winning the pageant a local news outlet interviewed Enriquez, who said it was “a celebration of womanhood and diversity and this celebration of being your true self.”  You got that right.  I don’t know how much more diverse a “Miss” beauty pageant can be than having a biological male winning it.   How come they don’t just throw transgender beauty pageants?  Wait, what?  They do?  Then how come they let transgender women participate in a biological female beauty pageant?  Will they allow cis men or women to compete in a transgender pageant?  Does asking those questions make me a hater in the Woke Supremacy world?  I really am curious, because I don’t hate anyone, even if I disagree with them.

Enriquez has entered and won transgender pageants in the past and signed up for other cisgender competitions, but this is considered a huge win, especially since he’s a guy suffering from a mental illness.

I guess someone has to say it.  Gender Dysphoria is a diagnosis that is listed in what’s called the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders or (DSM-5), a manual published by the American Psychiatric Association to diagnose mental conditions.   Do you get that?  It’s a listed mental condition and the world has just decided to ignore that and act as if it’s not a condition at all and it doesn’t need treatment.  Gender Dysphoria is the first mental disorder that has political protection.

Enriquez let on that she hasn’t always been liked that much in the pageant world.   Gosh, we can only wonder why.  She remembered a pageant in the past that she entered when the event organizers heard a rumor that she had a Mr. Happy and was transgender and they required her to provide medical documents to prove she was a female.  They also allegedly refused to assign her a roommate.  But all of that was before the world went Woke and by Woke I mean crazy before it was considered a hate crime to tell a person who was born with a penis that he’s a man.

“I was asked to provide documents that were invasive in my opinion physically asking me to get a letter from my doctor,” Enriquez said.  “It brought me back to a time where I felt like I was not welcome.”  Maybe a guy isn’t welcome in a women’s beauty pageant.

They required Enriquez to meet with a doctor who was to examine her and certify that she was female before being allowed to compete, something not required of anyone else in the competition.  Maybe no one else was required to go through that because none of them were born as a male.  I’m just guessing.  Anyway, I wonder how the visit with the doctor went?

Enriquez told KVVU-TV that instead of shying away from her transgenderism and based on her past experiences she has decided to make “awareness of the transgender community” her pageant platform.  So while other beauty pageant contestants give speeches about world peace, feeding the hungry, or climate change, Enriquez will talk about how wonderful it is to intrude on a contest where you don’t really, honestly, truthfully fit into the bathing suit if you get my drift.

Don’t get me wrong.  I am sure Enriquez is a lovely person and admittedly is much better looking than a lot of very large leftist female activists who  I’ve come across and gave me the stink eye at marches I’ve covered in the past, but I have to wonder when the world will come to grips and realize that we are enabling people who are suffering from a mental illness.  The push for Wokeness is so bad now that I predict she will win any beauty contest she enters because of the fear of the Woke Supremacy canceling the judges or the pageants altogether if she doesn’t.
