The FBI was aware of a Chinese plot to manipulate the 2020 election in favor of Joe Biden by using fake voters, yet chose to cover it up and destroy documents to protect former FBI Director Chris Wray. Despite Wray’s testimony to Congress stating there was no irregularity in the 2020 election, he was informed about the Chinese conspiracy. Such actions highlight the deep state’s intent to conceal evidence and deceive Congress.
This isn’t a direct claim that the election was rigged, but it certainly raises questions about the integrity of some U.S. officials. Fox News Digital highlighted this situation with a revealing headline, “FBI blocked probe into alleged Chinese 2020 election meddling to protect Wray from fallout.” The article pointed to documents showing the FBI’s recall of reports regarding allegations that the Chinese Communist Party created fake driver’s licenses to enable fraudulent voting for Biden.
Wray told Congress, “the FBI had not seen any coordinated voter fraud ahead of the 2020 election,” according to Fox. Yet, before his testimony, FBI agents reported the Chinese scheme to produce fake IDs for mail-in ballots. Despite potential skepticism from at least one analyst, why were the documents ordered to be destroyed?
Fox Digital explained that the FBI recalled the report on September 25, 2020, a day after Wray’s testimony to Congress. The FBI recalled it “to re-interview the source” and instructed recipients to “destroy all copies of the original report.” However, newly declassified documents, including records of the re-interview and internal communications, shed light on the decision-making process behind the recall.
Not all documents were destroyed, as some evidence was declassified and handed over to Senator Charles Grassley’s Judiciary Committee, which is now investigating. After the Fox News Digital report, Grassley responded vocally on social media. He accused the FBI of suppressing intel about alleged Chinese interference to avoid embarrassing Chris Wray, whose testimony conflicted with the available evidence.
Grassley expressed gratitude to the new FBI Director, Kash Patel, for declassifying the documents. He stated, “Thx Dir Patel for working w Congress to provide these records to me,” emphasizing the step towards restoring public trust in the FBI. The letter sent to Grassley by FBI Assistant Director Michael Yates noted the recall was ordered even though “the IIR was coordinated and disseminated in textbook fashion.”
The report drew considerable attention at FBI Headquarters, prompting the decision to reinterview the source. Although the source provided additional context supporting the initial report, the FBI chose not to republish it. One cited reason for withholding the IIR was to avoid contradicting Director Wray’s testimony.
Fox and Grassley shared a copy of this letter, raising questions about the FBI’s actions. If these officials are willing to destroy documents and lie on FISA warrants, what else might they be capable of? The question lingers: could they rig an election?
