Father of Marine Killed in Kabul Said Joe Biden ‘Bristled’ At Dover AFB When He Told Him, ‘Don’t you ever forget the names’ of Those Killed

The father of one of the 13 US military personnel killed during the evacuation from Afghanistan at the Kabul airport personally appealed to President Joe Biden to “learn their stories” and not to “forget their names,” The Washington Post reported.

With other grieving military families of loved ones who were killed, Mark Schmitz met with President Biden on Sunday at Dover Air Force Base. Jared Schmitz, 20, Mark’s son, was one of the Marines murdered while helping people with the evacuations.

Schmitz and his ex-wife were approached by Biden after he had already met and spoken with some other families.

Jared’s parents had to listen to the man responsible for their son’s death spending more time talking about his own son, Beau, who died six years ago from brain cancer. From all accounts, Beau was a decent young man who served in the Delaware Army National Guard, unlike the complete mess his brother Hunter turned out to be.

No one can blame Schmitz for wanting to talk about his son, Jared, and not Biden’s son Beau at that moment.

Schmitz and his ex-wife took out a photo of their son, Jared, to show the president.

“I said, ‘Don’t you ever forget that name. Don’t you ever forget that face. Don’t you ever forget the names of the other 12,’ ” Schmitz said. “ ’And take some time to learn their stories.’ ”

Schmitz said Biden bristled at that and said bluntly, “I do know their stories.”

The man can’t remember what happened on the Matlock rerun he watched last night and we’re supposed to believe he knows the stories of the 13 service members he got killed?

Jared’s father told a radio station during an earlier interview that his son grew up in the St. Louis area and that Jared had always wanted to become a Marine, according to the Associated Press.

“This was something he always wanted to do, and I never seen a young man train as hard as he did to be the best soldier he could be,” Schmitz said of his son.

Schmitz said he found out about his son’s death when the Marines came to his home in Wentzville, Missouri, at around 2:40 am on Friday. That’s the worst moment in a parent’s life with a child who is serving in the military.

Schmitz almost didn’t go to meet with the president. The Post reported that Jared’s father didn’t vote for Biden and that he blamed the president for his son’s death, just like 90 percent of the rest of the country at this point. Whether they want to admit it or not, just about everyone knows this did not have to happen and everything that happened in Kabul last week was completely Joe Biden’s fault. His incompetence cost those soldiers their lives, and the boob spent all his time with these people talking about his own son. I bet he looked at this watch too.

Apparently, Schmitz changed his mind about meeting and speaking with the president on the morning of the meeting when he ultimately decided to go.

Schmitz knew how difficult it must have been for Biden to meet with the families.

“It had to be one of the hardest things he’s ever had to do,” Schmitz said. “You make some calls, here’s the aftereffect. It’s got to be difficult. I’m not saying it was easy at all. But you can’t run up and hug someone as if you had nothing to do with it. It’s not going to work that way when you’re Commander-in-Chief.”

By next week, the mainstream news media will move completely off the disaster of Biden’s Kabul exit strategy, but if they think the American people are going to forget about it, they’re in for a rude awakening. I think this woke up a lot of people who until now gave Biden a pass. Once the analysis is done, the American people are going to learn just how bad Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan was and what the serious ramifications of it will be for the future of America.

God Bless these warriors and God Bless their families.
