Former ESPN broadcaster Mark Jones is criticizing Florida voters for keeping the state red in the 2026 midterms, even as Democrats claimed projected wins in the House and Senate nationally.
Jones, who left ESPN and has since built a following on Bluesky after saying he quit X because it was “too hateful,” posted a string of messages attacking the state’s electorate.
“Only in Florida will voters drive through flooded streets because the governor vetoed flood remediation projects to build a now defunct concentration camp in the Everglades and vote the same party in power,” Jones wrote.
“Only in Florida can people steal $10m from sick children and still get voted into power,” he added.
Jones also posted photos celebrating the Senate race loss of former NBC Sports reporter Michele Tafoya in Minnesota.
Jones has not been a regular presence in national conversation since departing ESPN roughly a year ago, but his midterm commentary quickly drew attention online given his past career in sports broadcasting.
