It’s safe to say that Tesla owners have experienced their fair share of issues. From battery drain, software bugs, and now apparently cold weather can also be a problem for the cars. A video recorded by one Tesla owner has gone viral after he demonstrated how his Model S vehicle refused to charge at a Supercharger station due to the cold weather. According to Domenick Nati, Elon Musk left him “stranded on Christmas Eve.”
The incident occurred in Virginia near where Nati lives, when it was reported around 19°F or -7°C outside temperatures. The TikTok video posted by Nati shows his car connected up to the charger but not taking on any power despite being plugged in for an hour already with a message stating that it is heating up the batteries before charging will begin.
Nati claimed that he first tried charging his car at home but this failed too so he traveled out hoping the supercharger would provide more success, unfortunately, this wasn’t meant to be either as you can see from his video post above.
He then reached out directly via Twitter messaging Elon Musk about these issues and asking if there was anything he could do about them but sadly didn’t receive a response back until Saturday afternoon which had been far too late for him as Christmas Day was only hours away by then leaving him stranded without transportation for most of December 25th!
Tesla has yet to comment publicly regarding this situation however they did reply back privately with some solutions such as using a portable charger or letting it sit overnight while plugged in order to try to get enough juice into its batteries so hopefully people don’t experience similar problems like what happened here again going forward! It’s worth noting though that this isn’t the first time something like this has happened since last year another driver encountered similar circumstances during winter months leading many people to wonder why hasn’t Tesla done something about it yet.

It seems clear from all of these events that electric vehicles are still very much susceptible to colder weather and can lead drivers to experience many difficulties which could potentially put them in dangerous situations especially if they’re driving long distances or need power urgently (like what almost happened here). This is why it’s essential everyone takes precautions when operating their EVs during the winter season otherwise they might end up like Nati who got stuck without transportation right before Christmas day!
Therefore, while electric vehicles are indeed amazing pieces of technology and offer great benefits over traditional gas-powered cars, they still have some ways to go until they become completely reliable under all conditions including extreme climates such as those found during wintertime periods across North America & Europe, etc…
With that said though we hope Tesla keeps working hard towards improving its products so these types of incidents never happen again because no one deserves to get stranded right before the holiday season starts!
