The Department of Justice recently dismissed an employee after discovering her connection to a radical leftist activist. Carolyn Feinstein, married to Joshua Aaron, the creator of the anti-ICE app ICEBlock, was informed of her termination through an email. Feinstein was working as a forensic accountant for the DOJ at the time of her firing.

The termination letter pointed to Feinstein’s lack of honesty during an internal investigation as a reason for her dismissal. However, Feinstein contests these claims, asserting that she has done nothing wrong. She believes her termination was retaliatory, driven by her husband’s activism against ICE.

Feinstein expressed her frustrations to The Daily Beast, describing her firing as retribution for her husband’s actions. “This was retribution. I was fired because of the actions, or activism, of my husband,” she lamented. She felt insulted, given her dedication to serving the American people through her career.

Despite the allegations, Feinstein claims she informed the DOJ about her relationship with Aaron. She explained that living under the same roof meant it was crucial to alert her employer about potential threats. Feinstein wanted the DOJ to be prepared in case she needed to be absent from the office due to any security issues.

A week after this disclosure, Feinstein was contacted by the Office of the U.S. Trustee. They reached out on behalf of an ethics committee, inquiring about her connection to the ICEBlock app. Feinstein clarified that she had no involvement with the app, apart from being married to its creator.

Conservative journalist Laura Loomer uncovered Feinstein’s marriage to Aaron and reported their cohabitation in Austin. This revelation led to further scrutiny from various conservative media outlets. Loomer’s investigation made headlines, raising concerns about Feinstein’s employment with the DOJ.

In a follow-up interview on Newsmax, Border Czar Tom Homan shared that Loomer had communicated her findings to him. He stated that he had informed the DOJ about the situation. Homan emphasized the need for accountability, suggesting potential legal consequences.

The Gateway Pundit noted Aaron’s app was designed to help illegal immigrants evade ICE, endangering immigration officers in the process. CNN, unsurprisingly, was quick to highlight Aaron’s invention. The app’s promotion by mainstream media outlets drew criticism from conservative voices.

Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary for the DHS, discussed the app’s implications with Fox News’s Dana Perino. McLaughlin expressed concern over the increased assaults on ICE officers, attributing it to political figures’ rhetoric. “Our ICE enforcement officers are seeing a 500% increase in assaults against them,” she noted.

McLaughlin argued that apps like ICEBlock obstruct justice and endanger officers. She called for changes to laws rather than targeting ICE officers. “Don’t go after our ICE law enforcement. It’s disgusting, it’s wrong, and it’s un-American,” McLaughlin asserted.

DHS Chief Kristi Noem also weighed in, mentioning potential legal action against CNN for promoting the app. The situation remains unresolved, with further developments yet to unfold. The controversy surrounding Feinstein’s termination and the ICEBlock app continues to spark debate.
