Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently stated that he is exploring ways to prevent Joe Biden from appearing on the Florida ballot, citing the “invasion of 8 million” individuals at the southern border.

In contrast, Democrats are attempting to bar former President Donald Trump from as many ballots as possible across the country.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments concerning this matter in February.

“I do think the US Supreme Court is going to have to take the case,” DeSantis told reporters after a campaign event in Iowa on Friday. “I do think they’re going to have to rein this in, because I just think if you look at it, it just becomes too different.”

Governor DeSantis stated that his administration has been investigating whether they can establish a case regarding the invasion occurring at the southern border.

“You could make a case — we’re actually I’m actually looking at this in Florida now. Could we make a credible case that Biden, because of the invasion of eight million?” DeSantis said.

DeSantis expressed his opposition to keeping candidates off ballots, but asserted that it is essential to “combat” and abide by the same regulations that the left has established.

“I think if this is going to happen for them . . . I don’t believe in fighting with one hand tied behind your back. Whatever the rules are applied to us, we’re going to fight back and play the rules the other way,” DeSantis said.

Governor DeSantis has stated that he will oppose the Democrats’ utilization of the justice system for political gain should he be elected. Nevertheless, President Trump remains the heavy favorite in this race.

“You know, we’ve got a better way forward. We’re not going to have to worry about those issues. And then when I become president, I’m going to be able to address all the lawfare and all the weaponization, and we’ll be able to end this stuff once and for all,” he continued.

On Friday, Kirk Bangstad, owner of Minocqua Brewing Company in Wisconsin, filed a lawsuit in an effort to keep former President Trump off the state’s Republican primary ballots.

This follows similar lawsuits by other states and is based on Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which was adopted after the Civil War.

The lawsuits allege Trump is “ineligible” to hold office due to his involvement in an “insurrection,” even though no charges or trial have been brought against him.

In Colorado, Supreme Court ruled in favor of this type of lawsuit and the U.S Supreme Court has agreed to hear an appeal regarding it as well.

Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows also opted to block Trump from her state’s Republican primary ballot; he has since appealed this decision on Tuesday.
