A Polk County, Florida, youth football coach is among 31 people arrested this week in an undercover human trafficking and child sex sting, Sheriff Grady Judd announced Friday.
Rashion Crayton, 31, head coach of the Davenport Titans, a youth football team that plays ages 11 to 14 in the Mid-Florida youth conference, believed he was traveling to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex, according to investigators.
Deputies say Crayton told the person he believed was a 14-year-old girl that he could pick her up from school and have sex with her in his car. He arrived at the meeting carrying a battery-operated sex toy and lubricant, concealed inside an Uber Eats delivery bag.
“The next time Uber Eats shows up at your house, I wonder what was in that Uber Eats bag just before your McDonald’s,” Sheriff Judd said.
Crayton was charged with traveling to meet a minor, use of a computer to seduce a child, use of a two-way communication device to commit a felony, and attempted lewd and lascivious battery on a minor.
“It is extremely disturbing when we encounter nasty child predators like these who are very eager to have sex with children. This is why we conduct these types of undercover operations,” Sheriff Judd said.
Disney, Universal Workers Among Those Caught
Of the 31 suspects arrested in the operation, 17 worked for Disney or Universal. Judd said 13 of the suspects were Disney Corporation employees and four worked for Universal Studios. Disney has since confirmed it fired all 13 employees identified in the sting.
One suspect, 24-year-old Collin Klaco, previously wore the Mickey Mouse costume at Disney World. Officers arrested him carrying a backpack filled with diapers and baby wipes; he allegedly hoped to act out a sex fetish with a 13-year-old boy.
Judd said 24 of the 31 suspects showed up to their meetings armed. Sixteen of those arrested were illegal migrants who have since been turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Judd has now arrested 281 suspects in sex stings this year.
