CNN Commentator Stuns Liberal Panel Into Silence At The DNC

For most of the past week, the Democratic National Convention has been primarily focused on criticizing Donald Trump.

Instead of presenting new ideas and impactful policies, the DNC has chosen to emphasize the perceived dangers of a Trump presidency rather than tackling the current issues facing America.

Despite being a prominent figure in U.S. politics for nearly a decade, Trump only served as president for four years.

In contrast, Democrats have held the White House for 12 of the past 16 years – a point highlighted by a conservative commentator on CNN during a panel discussion on day three of the DNC following a speech by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who is Kamala Harris’ running mate.

“The gaffe that I still see in all of these speeches, as good as they were, is that she’s in the White House right now,” Jennings said on CNN. “Democrats have controlled the White House for 12 of the last 16 years.”

“For all the talk about divisions and problems in the country and people are hurting, Democrats have mostly controlled this country…. and somehow, it’s still all Trump’s fault and somehow she hasn’t been at the center of it. So to me, that’s still the glaring hole of this campaign that hasn’t yet been solved at this convention. How do you explain all the problems that will be solved, by the person who is currently in there, for the past 3.5 years, that is supposed to already be working on solving them?” he asked.

With CNN’s commentators stunned into silence, many on social media praised Jennings for his remarks.

LOOK:

the Democratic National Convention has been dominated by a relentless focus on criticizing Donald Trump rather than presenting new ideas and impactful policies.

Despite this, the convention has failed to address the fact that Democrats have held the White House for 12 of the past 16 years.

The speeches at the convention, while effective, have overlooked the significant influence and responsibility that Democrats have had in shaping America’s current state.

This failure to acknowledge their own role in governing the country has left a glaring hole in their campaign. As conservative commentator Jennings pointed out, there is a need to explain how the person currently in power can solve the problems they are blaming on Trump.

This unanswered question remains a key issue for the Democratic campaign to address as they move forward.

As we look ahead to the upcoming election, it is imperative for both parties to offer concrete solutions and policies that will truly benefit all Americans, rather than continuing to solely focus on attacking their opponents.
