Liz Cheney lead the charge to launch the January 6th committee but at what cost? I think the better question is what did they gain?
Sure, the Trump-deranged Democrats and Rhinos got to have a ‘hatefest’ where they accused the former president of causing the violence that sparked on January 6th— but it served no other purpose.
It wasn’t an actual court where Donald Trump had a defense team and voters saw through those kangaroo proceedings.
Now, Cheney finds herself crawling back to reality with her tail between her legs in hopes of returning to her position as a representative of Wyoming but will they have her?
Funny enough, CNN tested the waters for Cheney ahead of any announcements to run again. They asked several people at the Frontier Days rodeo in Cheyenne, Wyoming and they don’t want her.
“Are you planning to vote for Liz Cheney?” CNN’s Randi Kaye asked Wyoming voter Sharon Tuggle, who responded, “Hell no.”
“She’s done us dirty,” Tuggle said, confirming to Kaye that Cheney lost her vote because of her part on the January 6th committee. “Look at how she’s done Trump.”
“She is supposed to be supporting him,” added Tuggle. “She is a Republican, for crying out loud.”
“Personally, I think she’s had three too many,” another voter told Kaye, asked if Cheney should run for another term.
Another voter interviewed by CNN shared that she finds Cheney’s work on the “January 6th committee just repulsive.”
“It’s all a hoax. It’s all propaganda. It has nothing to do with anything. It’s a witch hunt,” said Wyoming voter Andrew Kahler.
“She says she’s defending what’s important to people here in Wyoming, upholding the rule of law and defending the constitution,” Kaye suggested to Wyoming voter Brett Kupec.
“If that was the rule of law, why doesn’t he have a defense team in that courtroom?” Kupec responded. “That ain’t a rule of law. That’s a kangaroo court. That’s not the Wyoming way.”
Another voter described Cheney as “an embarrassment.”
Voters also said Cheney is out of touch with the people of Wyoming, overly focused on the committee and dealing with Trump.
“She doesn’t know what her constituents want her anymore because she’s lost touch with the values of the people,” one male voter said.
“I don’t feel like she supports her people here in Wyoming anymore,” another woman added. “The things that she’s voting for don’t really reflect what the people here in Wyoming feel.”

Trump won Wyoming with something like 70% of the state voting for him in 2016. I’m not sure if Cheney expects her new friends on the left to offer her a job but I don’t see a fair election where Cheney finds her way back in office in her home state.
Cheney chose to go ‘all-or-nothing’ with her scheme to sway the American public and it looks like it’s going to be ‘nothing’ for the Rhino.
