In a surprising turn of events, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco has publicly declared his support for former President Donald J. Trump in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

Sheriff Bianco, a lifelong law enforcement officer, announced his endorsement of Trump at a campaign rally in Anaheim on Saturday, stating that he believes the country needs strong leadership to combat rising crime rates and protect the rights of American citizens.

Bianco’s decision to back Trump has drawn both praise and criticism from members of the community and political leaders alike. Many supporters see it as a bold move that aligns with their values and beliefs, while others view it as a betrayal to the Democratic Party.

But for Bianco, it all comes down to what he sees as a clear choice between two very different paths for America’s future.

The sheriff pointed to recent events across California, including skyrocketing crime rates and rampant homelessness, as evidence of failed Democratic policies.

He opens by lamenting how Californian Gov. Gavin Newsom and the other Democrats in power have been actively making the law harder to enforce through numerous pro-criminal decisions.

“For the last five years I’ve been very critical about our governor for slashing our budgets from corrections, for letting prisoners out early, for closing our prisons,” Bianco said in the Instagram video.

“I’ve been critical of our state legislature for passing laws to make it harder to put people in prison. I’ve been critical for their changing laws that let prisoners out early. And I’ve been critical of our attorney general for seemingly not caring about crime.”

Bianco, who holds an office that’s officially nonpartisan, said the “love affair” that leaders within the state have for criminals all stems from the “belief that criminals are not responsible for their own actions.”

Those in power then blame different systems such as law enforcement for being “systemically racist” and let criminals run free to atone for it, he said.

Bianco then admitted that he’s “getting tired” of it all and that maybe it’s time to “change teams.”

“I know it’s going to make some of you angry, I know that you’re going to be mad at me but I’m going to change teams. I think they’re onto something but I don’t think they’re doing enough,” he said.

He said Americans need to go big and rather than simply giving criminals drugs, booze and housing.

We need to “put a felon in the White House,” he said.

“Trump 2024, baby. Let’s save this country and make America great again.”

In response to Sheriff Bianco’s announcement, the Riverside County Republican Party released a statement expressing their excitement and gratitude for his support.

“We are honored to have Sheriff Chad Bianco join us in supporting President Donald J. Trump,” stated party chairman Jonathan Ingram. “His endorsement is a testament to the fact that Trump’s message of law and order resonates with all Americans, regardless of political affiliation.”

As the 2024 election draws closer, it is clear that California will be a battleground state, with both parties vying for votes and support. And with Sheriff Bianco’s endorsement, Trump has gained a powerful ally in his quest for re-election.

Whether or not this endorsement will have an impact on the outcome of the election remains to be seen. But one thing is for sure: Sheriff Chad Bianco has made it clear where he stands – and it’s firmly on Team Trump.
