BYU tight end Walker Lyons hauled in the game-winning touchdown catch Saturday as the Cougars upset No. 2-ranked Notre Dame in Provo, Utah. Lyons finished the game with five catches for 49 yards and the score that put BYU on top.
Watching from the stands was Lyons’ girlfriend, Rylee Arnold, a professional dancer on “Dancing With the Stars.” After celebrating the win in Provo, Arnold immediately flew to Los Angeles for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show red carpet.
Arnold posted about the whirlwind turnaround, writing, “The proudest girlfriend ever!!!” as she went from wearing an oversized BYU hooded sweatshirt at the game to a red-carpet dress in Los Angeles.
The 21-year-old is currently competing in season 35 of “Dancing With the Stars” with celebrity partner Connor Wood.
BYU’s win over Notre Dame followed comments from Cougars quarterback Bear Bachmeier, who said Notre Dame “disrespected” him and his family after the upset.
